Alf Taylor’s memoir called God the Devil, and Me was published in March 2021. It represents over 20 years of work for Alf, and 16 years of work for Dennis Haskell, who edited the book. On 28 January 2021, Dennis and Alf sat down to talk at the Centre for Stories, ahead of the book’s launch.

In late 2020 and early 2021, Jalada Africa, a Pan-African writers’ collective released a two-part anthology, Nostalgia. Lead Editor, Wanjeri Gakuru and Arts Editor, Marziya Mohammedali took some time to reflect on the project via an incisive, meandering email exchange conversation about grief, legacy, process, inspiration and what they’d put in a time capsule.
