‘The playlist for Issue Four of Portside Review is a bit of a mix as usual. I started with Christine Anu, found my way to Sheila Chandra, then over to Letta Mbulu, with plenty in between. A particular highlight for me is the track from Timorese band, Maubere Timor, who sing patriotic songs composed during the Indonesian occupation. I also love the track from Tri Atma, a German-Indian formation creating spacey, synthy, poppy electronic music. Happy listening!’
